Information I handle

You can use the editor, print templates and download files without an account. In that case, your design and preferences remain in your browser unless you choose to download or share them. Your browser may also retain local or session storage needed for the editor and account session.

If you create an account, I handle your email address, authentication details, account identifiers and timestamps. I also store the designs you choose to save, including their names, notes and geometry, and records needed to manage share links. Passwords and authentication credentials are handled by Supabase and are not available to Knife Templates in readable form.

If you sign in with Google, Google and Supabase provide the basic account information needed to sign you in, such as your email address and profile identifier. I do not request access to your Google files or contacts.

Cloudflare, Supabase and my other service providers may automatically process technical information such as your IP address, browser and device details, request times, security signals and error logs. I use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand aggregate page views, referral sources, browser and device categories, countries and site performance. Cloudflare states that Web Analytics does not collect or use visitors’ personal data or track individual visitors across its customers’ sites. I do not use third-party advertising analytics.

How I use and disclose information

I use this information to provide accounts and saved-design libraries, deliver frozen share links, send authentication and account-recovery emails, secure and troubleshoot the service, prevent abuse, respond to support requests and comply with law. I do not sell personal information.

I disclose information only as needed to service providers that operate the site: Supabase for authentication and database hosting, Cloudflare for site delivery and security, Resend for authentication email, and Google when you choose Google sign-in. These providers may process information in Australia and other countries in which they operate, including the United States, under their own security and privacy arrangements. I may also disclose information where required by law or reasonably necessary to protect users, the service or others.

Designs and share links

Saved designs are private to your account unless you create a frozen share link. Anyone who has that link can open its snapshot until you revoke the link or delete the source design. A shared snapshot does not publicly expose your account identity or email, but its design name, notes and geometry are available to anyone with the link. Do not put sensitive personal information in a design or share-link content.

Retention and security

I retain your account and saved designs while your account exists. You can revoke share links, delete individual designs or permanently delete your account from the account screen. Account deletion removes active account data, cloud designs and share links, but limited copies may remain temporarily in protected backups, security logs or records I must retain by law. Operational and security logs are kept only as long as reasonably needed for security, troubleshooting and legal obligations.

I use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. Protect your password and share links, and contact me if you believe your account has been compromised.

Your choices and questions

You may use the editor without an account, download your designs as JSON, revoke share links and delete your account from the account screen. You may also ask to access or correct personal information I hold, or make a privacy complaint, by emailing support@knifetemplates.com. Please describe your request and provide enough information for me to verify the relevant account. I will investigate and respond within a reasonable time.

If this policy changes materially, I will update the effective date and provide reasonable notice through the site where practical.
